Adrenalin Junkie

The week is filled with getting as much adrenalin flowing around the body as humanely possible! It’s a must be for action adventure types – or just those with a screw lose maybe? Not all activities are wheelchair accessible unfortunately but most are! Activities for this week are very much based on weather conditions and may have to be rearranged or cancelled at short notice

 

Possible itinerary:

Day 1: Travel to France, arrive at accommodation meet everybody and settle in.

Day 2: Zip wires at Pleumeur Bodou for the afternoon – Picnic lunch.

Day 3: Land Yachting – Plestin les Greves - Picnic Lunch.

Day 4: Travel on the TGV – Travel to a large town on the TGV – worlds fastest regularly used train normally travels at around 200mph.

Day 5: Paragliding Plerin – Plage des Rosaires.

Day 6: Off to a small theme park and waterpark – some log flumes and rollercoasters.

Day 7: Karting and a picnic lunch.

Day 8: Home time





Animal Crackers

All things animal is included in this holiday, from cute and cuddly, through to wild and ferocious, you could even be a zoo keeper for the day!

 

Possible itinerary:

Day 1: Travel to France, arrive at accommodation meet everybody and settle in. (and meet all our animals)

Day 2: Tregastel Aquarium, lunch out, walk dogs along the coast.

Day 3: Zoo at Tregomeur – complete day out at a local zoo. Picnic lunch, ice creams, feeding the animals, a great day out.

Day 4: Reptile centre – Terrarium et Vivarium de Kerdanet at Plouagat. picnic lunch, walk dogs around La Roche Jagu gardens.

Day 5: Zoo and Chateau – La Bourbansais – Picnic Lunch, Eat out on the way back.

Day 6: Oceanopolis – Brest – A day out to very large aquarium at Brest. Picnic Lunch – BBQ Dinner.

Day 7: Keep it fairly local, Boat Trip – to look at Wildlife on Les Sept Isles off the Pink Granite Coast. Lunch Out. Opportunity for shopping, walk along the beach, etc.

Day 8: Home time





Arts and Crafts

The week is filled with making things, arts and crafts galore, from jewellery, to candles, to paper craft, to cards and visits to local workshops

Day 1: Travel to France, arrive at accommodation meet everybody and settle in.

Day 2: Explore locally.

Day 3: Crafting locally.

Day 4: Visit local market in Paimpol and visit local glass blowing workshops – Lunch out.

Day 5: Crafting Locally.

Day 6: Visit local mosaic artisan workshop half day course.

Day 7: Crafting Locally.

Day 8: Home time





Baking

The week is filled with all things cooking. From local biscuits, cakes through to making your own – the scent coming from this week will be sweet to say the least!

 

Possible itinerary:

Day 1: Travel to France, arrive at accommodation meet everybody and settle in.

Day 2: Walk for a trip to local bakery to sample some real French croissants, pain au chocolat and to feast your eyes of the patisseries.

Day 3: Biscuit Factory Belle Isle en Terre, explore village, lunch out, more bakeries, etc.

Day 4: Meet Beatrice – afternoon baking at Apartments.

Day 5: How to make the perfect crepe – trip to local cider brewer, supermarket to buy ingredients, now to make dinner – galettes and crepes for tea!

Day 6: Visit local market, see how the French really do buy their shopping – locally grown, often organic produce, cheese, meat and fish.

Day 7: Baking with Beatrice – making Macarons to take home.

Day 8: Home time





Discovering Brittany

The week is filled with getting to know as much about Brittany as possible during your stay. There's 700 miles of coastline, boasting pristine sandy beaches, rugged rocks and secluded coves, as well as pretty fishing villages. Inland, explore breath-taking countryside, and enchanting forests - not to mention a collection of historic cities and towns. And then there's the delicious local cuisine; with seafood in abundance, crepes especially enjoyed with another Breton speciality, cider.

 

Possible itinerary:

Day 1: Travel to France, arrive at accommodation meet everybody and settle in.

Day 2: Follow the brown signs – Tregor Goelo Route and visit some amazing breathtakingly beautiful sites, stop for lunch, ice creams, bars, coffee as and when you want. Bring a camera.

Day 3: Pink Granite Coast – Ploumanac’h – voted Frances most preferred village in 2015, Pink Granite, great restaurants, harbour, light house, walk along the coast. Boast Trip – Les Sept Isles.

Day 4: Trip to Vallée des Saints and Huelgoat – Picnic Lunch.

Day 5: Treguier market, cathedral, lunch out and about, stop for coffee, bars, visit Plougrescant and the house in the rocks as on a lot of postcards, etc.

Day 6: Lannion market, walk along estuary, visit Trebeurden, Tregastel, look at coast, spend afternoon on the beach lazing around

Day 7: Boat Trip – Passeur de Trieux, visit La Roche Jagu, coffee in grounds.

Day 8: Home time





Learn Some Basic French

Come and immerse yourself in all things French, learn some phrases, practice them in real life and go home at the end of your stay speaking more French than when you arrived!

 

Possible itinerary:

Day 1: Travel to France, arrive at accommodation meet everybody and settle in.

Day 2: Meet Lys, your French tutor, learn how to say hello, introduce yourself.

Day 3: Learn some basic vocabulary to enable you to order a drink in a bar – afternoon –yep you guessed it go start ordering in Paimpol

Day 4: What to order from a menu – Afternoon – get out there and practice at the beach – evening meal out at Trestraou

Day 5: General phrases for shopping – afternoon – shopping in a supermarket, around a town

Day 6: Put everything into Practice – market trip in the morning – picnic lunch – coffee and ice creams, evening meal out and about. – Lannion

Day 7: Walk along estuary in La Roche Derrien, visit the historical sites where the 100 year war ended, visit the chapel where the English forces captured the French Captain and held him prisoner to end the war! Lunch in restaurant in village, buy some going home gifts locally.

Day 8: Home time





Pampering Week

The week is filled with all things to pamper oneself, hair, nails, facials, waxing, looking after yourself, massages, reiki, head massages, essential oils, relaxation,; Think of it as a spa week or so!

 

Possible itinerary:

Day 1: Travel to France, arrive at accommodation meet everybody and settle in.

Day 2: Lazy breakfast, get ready for a trip out, healthy option lunch – or not....wander along the prom, get some great sea air. Evening, maybe a bit of beauty tips and tricks, a wax or two that sort of thing at the apartments.

Day 3: Massages, hair and nails.

Day 4: Visit local make up/beauty product factory – uses locally sourced algae and seaweed products.

Day 5: Massages, hair, nails.

Day 6: Lannion market – buy some bits and pieces visit some of the beauty shops.

Day 7: Walk along estuary in La Roche Derrien, visit the historical sites where the 100 year war ended, visit the chapel where the English forces captured the French Captain and held him prisoner to end the war! Lunch in restaurant in village, buy some going home gifts locally.

Day 8: Home time





Upcycling and Recycling

All things rubbish, fancy going around Brocantes, Boot sales and all places second hand, finding treasure, you could even come back to our workshop and do some upcycling on that piece of treasure, sanding, varnishing, painting, decorating, etc –wheelchair accessible.

 

Possible itinerary:

Day 1: Travel to France, arrive at accommodation meet everybody and settle in.

Day 2: 1st large brocante – spend a couple of hours, sifting through the goodies at Pommerit Jaudy – one of the largest brocantes locally – and cheapest! Picnic Lunch.

Day 3: Ideas for your upcycling – sand, paint, varnish all in our onsite workshop – Evening meal out locally.

Day 4: More time spent in the workshop – Evening meal out locally.

Day 5: Trip to local glass blowing workshop, plus a vintage shop, picnic lunch. Wander around the quaint seaside town of Paimpol – you have to eat ice cream!

Day 6: Put everything into Practice – market trip in the morning – picnic lunch – coffee and ice creams, evening meal out and about. – Lannion

Day 7: Walk along estuary in La Roche Derrien, Visit the brocante in the village and have lunch in the old vicarage.

Day 8: Home time





Walking and Exploring

Walk and explore local coastal walks, forest walks, along rivers, local markets, explore old buildings, churches, cathedrals. A different place every day to visit.

 

Possible itinerary:

Day 1: Travel to France, arrive at accommodation meet everybody and settle in.

Day 2: Perros Guirec, beach at Trestraou for lunch, walk along Sentier des Douaniers, ice cream in Plouman’ach.

Day 3: Tregastel – market in morning, buy picnic lunch from market. Walk along Ile Renote, Visit aquarium, ice cream/coffee at the beach after aquarium.

Day 4: Abbaye de Beauport – Paimpol, morning – walk along coast. Lunch in Paimpol on the harbour, go up to Pointe de L’arcouest. Coffee/cake/ice cream? BBQ in the evening.

Day 5: Treguier – visit cathedral, walk along the port, walk around Treguier lots of history and sightseeing, museum of Ernest Renan. Lunch out at one of the restaurants on the cathedral square.

Day 6: Lannion market, picnic lunch, walk along estuary Le Leguer. Eat out evening

Day 7: Walk along estuary in La Roche Derrien, visit the historical sites where the 100 year war ended, visit the chapel where the English forces captured the French Captain and held him prisoner to end the war! Lunch in restaurant in village, buy some going home gifts locally.

Day 8: Home time
